35mm is the type of film the camera takes not the lense but thanks anyway.
Oh and i mean to convert the 35mm camera into a digital one not the 35mm film into digital! But thanks anyway.

How will using a non-digital lens with a digital body change the quality?
I have older Vivitar lens that I'd like to use with my new digital SLR Canon EOS xTi camera. I will be trying to mount using a t-adapter. These are nice lenses that have been taken care of but will the quality be different if I don't use a digital lens for my digital SLR?There is no difference between a digital or non-digital lens, design wise. Nothing has been done to the glass or element design. The real differences have to do with the size of the image projected to the film or sensor. The film camera...

New York, NY (PRWEB) November 25, 2009

Photography enthusiasts can be some of the toughest people to buy holiday gifts for if youre not a photographer. Thats why the Adorama Learning Center has expanded its Buying Guide section to include a new buying guide, 15 Gifts Photographers Will Really Appreciate for $100-250 (http://www.adorama.com/alc/article/15-Gifts-Photographers-Will-Really-Appreciate-for-100-250). The article is a complement to 25 Photo-tastic Gifts for Under $100 (http://www.adorama.com/alc/article/25-Photo-tastic-Gifts-for-Under-100-Dollars), which was posted last week.

The new buying guide offers quick reviews of such diverse products as a pen-based tablet for use with Adobe Photoshop, Polarizing filters, portable mass storage, color balancing, devices, wireless GPS receivers and SD cards with wireless communication abilities. Other products include flash light modifiers, tripods, camera bags, portable photo printers, software and tripods.

This buying guide is designed for those who can afford a gift in the $100-250 range, but dont have a photography background, and dont know what to get their photo enthusiast friends or family members explains Learning Center editor Mason Resnick. Photographers often dont expect gifts they can really use to improve their pictures since the gear can be highly specialized and difficult for a lay person to understand, so imagine the delight when a photographer gets a gift that will help him or her take better pictures

Adorama Camera is one of the top camera retailers in the United States and the Learning Center (http://www.adorama.com/learn), which is hosted on the Adorama web site, is a free online photo magazine with hundreds of how-to articles, product reviews and picture-taking ideas for everyone from snapshooters to professional photographers. The Learning Center includes daily-updated news from the world of photography as well as a blog and podcast interviews with todays top photographers.

An online photo magazine at a retail web site?

The Adorama Learning Center is the choice destination for photographers at all levels of experience who want to improve their picture-taking and image-editing skills. The Learning Center has posted hundreds of how-to photography articles, buying guides and picture-selling advice, as well as daily breaking news about the photography industry, written by a team of top photography experts.

Why would Adorama, a well-respected New York-based camera retailer, publish what is essentially an online photo magazine? For the same reason it has also partnered with the Perfect Picture School of Photography (http://www.ppsop.net) to offer online photography courses, and why it offers dozens of live workshops for photographers on location in its store in New Yorks Photo District that have been attended by hundreds of enthusiastic students: We believe the more information and knowledge we can provide, the more people will trust Adorama both as a reliable and trusted information source and as a place where they can feel comfortable buying their photographic gear, says Resnick.

I plan to go out on Black Friday for the first time in my life. I will go to any store and at any time. I want to buy a digital camera; I've always wanted to have one with me all the time and have the ability to store images on my computer. My price range I'm looking for is $75-$125. What is the best digital camera to get for that price and where can I get it? Especially on Black Friday?I find the best deals at http://www.digitalcamerakingdom.com. They also have some buying guides for beginners, etc. I would suggest a Canon Point&Shoot it is always the best buy, I have a few and they all are perfect.

New York (PRWEB) July 21, 2009 Each year, for the past several years, camcorders are among the largest categories of products sold in the consumer electronics market. Much of that product is sold during the fourth quarter, but even in a challenging economy there are more and more reasons for buying camcorders all year long. Reasons include becoming a first-time parent, going on a vacation or away to school, and taking advantage of new technologies that are sometimes introduced in the first quarter. This year, sales of digital cameras and HD camcorders are expected to remain strong, as these products proliferate the market and more manufacturers continue to introduce special-purpose and uniquely featured camcorder models. Video content is the way more and more people are communicating, and that reality is expected to increase as streaming video technology continues to make it easier to upload and view video online, and social networking relies ever-more heavily on video to connect with audiences. As the medium grows, so do manufacturers entering this space, and so does the need to understand consumer buying habits and trends. With this in mind, HDCameraGuide.com sent two of their reporters to talk with sales professionals at leading retailers in the New York area, including Best Buy, PC Richards, 6th Ave. Electronics, Walmart, and Target. While understanding why people buy is the job of sophisticated marketing experts, much of that knowledge is based in the minds of the salespeople at the retail level who spend their time talking with consumers each and every day. Here, then, is what they had to say: 1. It wasn't surprising to learn that many customers have an idea of what camcorder they want to buy after researching it on the Internet. Consumers today are better educated than they were in the past due to sites like HDCameraGuide.com. Before shopping, they typically spend time finding out the product that suits their general needs and budgets. 2. With products ranging in all price levels, a number of sales people indicated that there is a trend for consumers to purchase entry-level or sophisticated products, as opposed to mid-priced models. They explained that with the growing trend to make your own movies for YouTube, Facebook, or personal sites, many consumers are spending at the high range for the best camera they can buy, while others who just need a camera, and aren't looking at all the functionality, simply want low price. 3. In general, novice or beginner camera buyers tended to go for the easy-to-use camcorders from Canon, Sony, Panasonic, Flip, Kodak, and others. These products are typically less feature-driven products, and provide just enough of what the starting out or buyer on a budget needs. 4. Several salespeople noticed that Mac users tend to stick with Panasonic, Canon, and JVC. PC users, however, have a wider range of choices when it comes to compatibility. All-in-all, however, the most frequently requested manufacturers seem to be Panasonic, Sony, JVC, and Canon. 5. When the consumer has no idea about what they want, salespeople ask about their intended application or primary reason for buying the camcorder. In general, however, the reason for buying the camcorder is usually known, and therefore there is less of what retailers used to call shopping around. 6. As to how important the salesperson's opinion is, that too was a matter of how much online research the consumer had already done before walking into the store. In general, if the purchase was about price, consumers were tending toward the under-$250 camcorders. If it was about features, they wanted to see high-end product. 7. All of the salespeople we interviewed agreed that customers were getting smarter and smarter, and they recommended that in general it was important for consumers to do research before even entering a store. There is plenty of information available on the Internet, which can help protect first-time camcorder buyers from making avoidable mistakes when purchasing a camcorder. This information also provides the experts with the information they need to achieve their aspirations of becoming the next Steven Spielberg. 8. One of the salespeople felt that a smarter consumer made it easier for him to do his job. That's because consumers who walk into a store cold and see all the camcorder choices available often walk out overwhelmed but without a camcorder in their hands. About HDCameraGuide.comhttp://www.HDCameraGuide.com is the premier source for professional and consumer HD Cameras, Camcorders, Lenses, and Accessories. It's free to join. The site regularly features exclusive video interviews, product-introduction videos, a video-rich Learning Center, and a wide range of content. The site does not sell any cameras directly, but links to major retailers for online purchases.
