ebayeBay is a song and radio-only single by Weird Al Yankovic. It is a parody of I Want It That Way by Backstreet Boys. In it, the narrator describes how he incessantly purchases bizarre (and purportedly unneeded) items on eBay.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/EBay_(song)
Boston, MA (PRWEB) November 9, 2005 The digital camera market is on track to hit 20.5 million in sales in 2005, according to Photo Marketing Association International, fueled by the major developments in technology and affordability that have enhanced an unprecedented number of models available this holiday season. To make choosing a digital camera the easiest task on your shopping list, DigitalCameraInfo.com announces its selections for the best digital cameras of the yearthe DigitalCameraInfo Select 2005. The reviewers at DigitalCameraInfo.com have been working diligently this past year, evaluating many digital camera models on the market using our standardized testing methods and independent, unbiased review style, said Robin Liss, Internet entrepreneur and founder of DigitalCameraInfo.com . We realize that professional and amateur photographers alike depend on our publication for fair product reviews and we have adhered to the highest ethical standards in making our selections for the best digital cameras of 2005. No one in the market for a digital camera, whether it be a pocket cam or a digital SLR, should shop without this informative buying guide in hand. The Canon EOS 5D, a 12.8 megapixel full-frame digital SLR that raises the bar on performance in its price range, earns the DigitalCameraInfo.com Select 2005s top honorthe Digital Camera of the Year award. The Canon 5Ds technology is impressive and its suggested retail price of $3299, while not cheap, moves this full-frame camera out of the realm of specialized equipment and within reach of the serious consumer, said Alex Burack, editor-in-chief of DigitalCameraInfo.com. Canon beefed up the 5Ds processing power to accommodate its large filesand has created a camera that delivers excellent color, low noise, and superb resolution. The Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T5, which won the DigitalCameraInfo Select 2005s award for the Best Ultra Thin Point-and-Shoot, is sure to appeal to the style-conscious photographers on every shopping list who like to travel lightly and make a fashion statement when taking a picture. For others, function takes precedence over form. The awards for both Ultra Zoom Camera of the Year and Top Performing Compact go to the Fujifilm S9000 with its 10.7x optical zoom lens, flashy 1.8-inch foldout LCD monitor, pop-up flash, and slots for both xD-Picture and CompactFlash cards. The S9000s Real Photo Processor turns out quality pictures and is great at capturing shots in low light, said Burack. Even more impressive, this ultra zoom can take its first shot in 1.22 seconds, which beats out many of the competing models, and retails for just under $700. For ease of use, shoppers cant go wrong with the DigitalCameraInfo Select 2005s Point-and-Shoot Performer of the Year, another Fujifilm model, the FinePix F10. With its simple auto mode and five scene modes, expanded ISO ratings, and 1.34-second start-up time, the F10 is easy to use and offers great performance at a relatively low price of $399, said Burack. Fans of high-performance features that are accessible to entry level consumers, the DigitalCameraInfo.com review staff is pleased to announce the Kodak EasyShare-one as the winner of their Innovator of the Year award. The cameras combination of wireless ability, a large touch screen with stylus, a vast amount of internal memory, and a current online price of less than $500 heralds a new era for consumer digital photography in which users can take up to 1,500 pictures without ever needing an SD card by wirelessly sending their pictures to printers. Canon, the manufacturer of DigitalCameraInfo Select 2005s Camera of the Year, makes the list again with its Canon PowerShot S2 IS, the selection for Hybrid Camera of the Year. After completing product testing, Alex Burack said, Canon has clearly succeeded in taking the first strides towards merging a digital camera with a digital camcorder. The DigitalCameraInfo Select 2005 winning list includes the following awards for best values: Over $2000: Canon EOS 5D Under $2000: Fujifilm FinePix S3 Pro Under $1000: Canon Rebel XT Under $750: Nikon D50 Kit (with 18-55mm f/3.5-4.5 G lens) Under $500: Sony Cyber-shot DSC-H1 Under $350: Fujifilm FinePix F10 Under $250: Sony Cyber-shotDSC-W5 Under $200: Canon PowerShot A510 Cameras were also given awards according to performance in their class:

Universal Studios, Orlando, FL (PRWEB) June 22, 2011 Fireball Run Adventurally is not a motor sports event- it is actually an exponentially growing entertainment property (with a cause.) It is an annually-filmed production that travels over 2500 miles to 15 cities in an 8 Day Race to Recover Missing Children. Cars Daytona 500 Winner and NASCAR legend Geoff Bodine, Space Shuttle Astronaut Winston Scott, and nearly 50 teams will compete driving everything from Lamborghinis and Camaros to the DeLorean Time Car from Back to the Future and the General Lee from Dukes of Hazzard. Along the way they must solve clues and various motor sport challenges. Fans can follow their favorite teams via GPS and chat with participants on FireballRun.com CamerasThe 2011 Chevrolet Fireball Run Adventurally will be aired Live online to 7 Million viewers; roughly the same number who watch Oprah Winfrey in Syndication or caught the NBA playoffs on TV, as well as being filmed for later theatrical release. This production culminates in a red-carpet movie premiere and later distribution as an award-winning DVD movie. Dan Springen, Executive Director of Orlando Film Festival, competing this year, will also be accepting entries from independent film producers in each destination along the rally route. One lucky film maker will be chosen for a red carpet world premier at the 2012 Orlando Film Festival. Missing ChildrenEach team in the Fireball Run Adventurally is assigned a missing child from their home region along with thousands of posters to distribute along the route- the posters QR code connects directly to law enforcement handling the case. A decal featuring the child is also place on the vehicle, creating a rolling milk carton. The Race to Recover Americas Missing Children is the largest active recovery effort for missing and exploited children in the country. To date, the effort has assisted in the recovery of 36 missing children. QR CodesThe Fireball Run Adventurally continues to innovate, using new media technologies like live streaming video broadcasts, online GPS tracking, and QR codes on team vehicles to launch rich media in a first-of-its-kind program to increase awareness, fan participation & consumer engagement. QR, short for Quick Response, are square matrix codes that can be scanned by smart phones to launch digital content; from photos to websites and videos. ChevroletThis year the Adventurally has title sponsor Chevrolet, which has not only lent its name and support to the production but also several participating Chevrolet team vehicles. The 2011 Chevrolet Fireball Run Adventurally starts September 23rd on Floridas Space Coast and concludes October 1st in the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Other 2011 destinations are Peachtree City GA, Knoxville TN, Clarksville TN, Anniston AL, and Gulfport MS. The event encourages the public to come out, get autographs, and show their support. Other sponsors of the entertainment production include; Barrett-Jackson Auctions, LiveStream.com, RealTrack GPS, LuxuryLifestyle.com, ODonnell Corp, RedBird Printing, and Firefly Sweet Tea Vodka. This week, the iPhone 4 officially overtook the Nikon D60 to become the top camera on Flickr, more popular than any other point-and-shoot or D-SLR camera on the site. Considering Flickr doesn't always properly detect which device a member has used to upload a photo (Flickr admits it only gets it right about two-thirds of the time) and Flickr doesn't record device data when a photo is posted from a mobile app, the iPhone 4 has probably been Flickr's top camera for quite some time. But does this represent a trend? Are people ditching standalone cameras in favor of the camera that comes with their cell phone? There are several reasons why camera phones could be eclipsing cameras. First of all, people tend to carry their phones with them all the time and most phones now include cameras. The quality of cameras on phones is improving, too. The iPhone 4 has a 5-megapixel camera and it's been rumored that the iPhone 5 could include an 8-megapixel camera. So why carry an additional gadget if you already have a good camera conveniently built into your phone? Additionally a lot of phones at least have the ability to connect to a Wi-Fi network, allowing you to upload a photo directly to the Internet. By contrast, with most cameras, you have to connect the device or the memory card to your computer and upload images to your hard drive before you can add them to Facebook, Flickr, Twitter, or wherever you post your pictures. About a year ago, I broke my point and shoot digital camera at a wedding. I had just bought the iPhone 4, and accordingly, opted not to replace my camera. While I still use my SLR camera when I travel, my iPhone has become my primary camera. Do PCMag readers have similar habits? Answer this poll and help us find out. Share and Enjoy:
