AgfaPhoto Launches 2011 Camera Line

AgfaPhoto today announced its official launch of the companys 2011 spring/summer camera offerings at a press event in Manila. Hosted by RedDot Imaging Philippines, the exclusive national distributor of AgfaPhoto digital cameras and camcorders in the Philippines. At this event they will present the AgfaPhoto Imaging Ecosystem concept and will showcase the camera line-up and bundled productivity software.

The 6 camera offering includes 3 new Point-and-Shoots, 2 Bridge models and a high-definition ruggedized HD Camcorder. All cameras are bundled with productivity software from ArcSoft for media management and all but the entry-level model Precisa 1430, allow users to easily convert their images and videos into 3D and view them with the included 3D glasses.

Rene Buhay, President of RedDot Imaging (USA), the authorized licensee of AgfaPhoto for the Americas, Middle East and Southeast Asia, will present the AgfaPhoto Imaging Ecosystem capture-view-store-share concept. The entry level 14 megapixel 3X optical zoom Precisa 1430 retails for P2995. There will be two models under the Optima series Optima 145 and 147. Both models features 14 megapixels and lithium batteries, 5X and 7X optical zooms respectively sell for P4995 and P5995. The Selecta 14 and 16 models offer bridge camera features with 14 and 16 megapixel capabilities coupled with 15X optical zoom with Optical Image stabilization feature at a retail of P8995 and P9995 respectively. A shockproof (up to 1.5M/5ft) and waterproof (up to 5M/16ft) compact HD 1080p camcorder with built-in USB, the eClipse Explorer, finishes off the line touting image stabilization and HDMI output at P5995.

Non digital cameras- still available?

I want to take up photography. Do shops like Dixons/Comet etc still sell good quality cameras that require film (i.e. non-digital)? I would prefer not to have a digital camera. If it’s necessary though can ayone recommend any digital cameras that produce pictures which closely resemble photos taken using film-based cameras?

Im starting uni in september. im going to be doing photography. which camera would be a good first dslr, it also has to be relativly cheap as im a student.
Also where is the cheapest place to buy digital cameras?
Also would a normal digital camer with a high megapixel rating do the same job or is the dslr the best option?

Compatible digital cameras for Windows Vista?

Hi can anyone tell me of a good but not too expensive Camera to use with Windows Vista, my new computer is on Vista and my old and very reliable PENTAX OPTIO isn’t compatible with it, there is no upgrade software for it either.

Thanks in advance.
I will try a card reader first then, I was hoping not to have to buy a new camera, I know the one I have is getting on a a little but it is very reliable, thanks.

Where can I get an new “old fashioned”, non-digital camera?

I already sit in front of the pc 8 hours per day and don’t want to have the hassle of sorting out digital photos too. Except from the single use cameras, where can I get a new camera that uses film?

I have been reviewing the specs on the Fuji Finepix S5000, S6500 and S9500 along with the Panasonic Lumix DMC FZ5, FZ20 and FZ30 – Ignoring the price differneces in these cameras can anyone advise which is best, even personal opinion, I would like to know what users think rather than the companies who make them ! ! – One the most important factors is image stability as I can shake sometimes ! !

i am looking to buy a digital camera, and want to find one with 10 – 12 MP, at a price of anything up to £150. i don’t know a great deal about digital cameras and what other features i should be looking for but i would preferably like to buy one of a well known brand, that can easily upload photos onto a computer or laptop. can you recommend any uk based sites or an electronics store or even better can you recommend a specific camera that fits my description? thank you
